National Conference – Ireland after Divorce - 21th October 2011

‘Ireland after Divorce’ was the theme of a conference organised by ProgettImpenn at the Phoenicia Ballroom, Floriana on Monday 21st October 2011. David Quinn a well known Irish journalist and commentator on religious and social affairs made a presentation about the effect the divorce left in Ireland. David is the founder of the Iona Institute, a conservative, Catholic think tank promoting families based on heterosexual marriage and the practice of religion. The conference was chaired by Dr. Anna Vella. His Grace the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Pawl Cremona O.P., concluded the conference. Click here to view presenation.

 



National Conference – The Family in Europe Today - 7th February 2011

‘The Family in Europe Today’ was the theme of a conference organised by ProgettImpenn at the Phoenicia Ballroom, Floriana on Monday 7th February. Prof. Francesco Belletti, Director of the International Centre for Family Studies in Milan made a presentation about the subject. Dr. Rita Borg Xuereb, Chairperson of the Diocesan Commission for the Family and ProgettImpenn chaired the Conference. Meeting for Parish Family Commissions - 26th November 2010

Meeting at the Seminary in tal-Virtu Rabat for all Parish Family Commissions, the subject was "Marital and Family spirituality”

 



National Conference - The Charter of the Rights of the Family – is it still relevant today? 22nd October 2010

A National Conference to mark the 27th anniversary from the setting up of the Charter of the Rights of the Family by Pope John Paul II was organised by ProgettImpenn at the Catholic Institute, Floriana. ‘The Charter of the Rights of the Family – is it still relevant today?’ This question was addressed by speaker Fr Renč Camilleri. Dr. Rita Borg Xuereb, Chairperson of the Diocesan Commission for the Family and ProgettImpenn chaired the Conference. His Grace the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Pawl Cremona O.P., concluded the conference.

 


National Conference – Rolling Back the Tide of Marriage Breakdown - 15th May 2010


Being World Family Day, ProgettImpenn held a National Conference at the Phoenicia Hotel with Judge Paul Coleridge as main speaker. Madam Judge Anna Felice chaired the conference and H. E. Bishop Mario Grech, Isqof gave the concluding speech.

 



World Marriage Day - 14th February 2010

Fr. Vince Magri celebrated mass at the Augustine Sisters Chapel in Fleur-de-Lys. Members from various local Parish Commission for the Family attended this mass which was also broadcasted on the local TVM station.

 



National Conference – The Maltese Families – Facts and Figures - 13th February 2010

A National Conference to mark the end of Mariage Week was organised by ProgettImpenn at the Phoenicia Hotel. Mr Michael Pace Ross, Mr. Etienne Caruana, and Mr. Clyde Caruana, from the N.S.O. and Mons. Anton Goud were speakers at this conference. Archbishop, Mgr Pawl Cremona O.P., concluded the conference.

 



National Conference – Towards a Healthy Marriage - 6th February 2010

A National Conference organised by ProgettImpenn was held at the Phoenicia Hotel to mark the start of Marriage Week. The Speakers were Hon. Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, Prime Minister of Malta, Hon. Dr. Joseph Muscat, Leader of the Oppostion, Mrs. Kate Gonzi and Mrs. Michelle Muscat. Archbishop, Mgr Paul Cremona O.P., concluded the conference.

 



National Conference – Do Marriage and the Family still have a Future? - 17th October 2009

This Conference was organised by ProgettImpenn, having as Speaker  Profs. Aldegonde Brennickmeijer- Werhnan.  The Conference was chaired by Dr. Rita Borg Xuereb and Profs. Rev. Emmanuel Agius concluded the conference.

 



Half-day National Conference – Zwieg - Quo Vadis - 7th February 2009

Half-day National Conference with the theme being 'Zwieg - Quo Vadis' was held at St. Agatha auditorium in Rabat. This Conference was organised by ProgettImpenn, the Task Force of the Diocesan Family Commission together with Cana Movement and Caritas which aims to promote healthier and stronger marriages. The main speakers were Mr. Harry Benson, founder of the Bristol Community Family Trust with the paper ' Marriage the Hard Way or the Easy Way, and Rev. Dr. Paul Galea, pastoral psychology lecturer at the University of Malta with a paper on the situation of marriage and families in Malta titled 'Zwieg - Quo Vadis? MP's Hon. Edwin Vassalo and Hon. Dr. Justyne Caruana gave their reactions to Fr. Galea's paper. Archbishop, Mgr Pawl Cremona O.P., concluded the conference.

 



Charter of the Rights of the Family - 22nd October 2008

A seminar was held at the Catholic Institute to commemorate the 25th anniversary from the setting up of the Charter of the Rights of the Family by Pope John Paul II.

The members of the Diocesan Commission for the Family met Archbishop Pawl Cremona O.P. to discuss a work plan and that which he wishes the commission to accomplish.
